Job Summary The primary role of the Quality Systems Technician is to develop and maintain the organization’s document system structure, conduct audits, and prepare metric reporting to support quality management and regulatory compliance.
Job Responsibilities
Manage the site Quality Management System (QMS) documentation structure to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Manage organizational documentation through the document life cycle, including review, approval, and distribution.
Ensure the security, accessibility, and proper distribution of organizational documents.
Distribute and notify stakeholders of document releases, changes, and obsolescence.
Conduct internal audits and prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
Support regulatory and third‑party audits, investigations, and inquiries regarding product design and manufacturing quality.
Assist, as needed, with certified operator audits to monitor adherence to policies and procedures.
Monitor the performance of the QMS by gathering relevant data and producing reports to identify areas for improvement in quality processes.
Assist with the generation and updating of processes, procedures, standard works, and audit checklists.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in a technical discipline OR high school diploma/GED equivalent and 5 years of experience in a manufacturing, quality, industrial, or mechanical role within a manufacturing environment.
3 years of auditing experience or AS9100 Lead Auditor certification with 1 additional year of auditing experience.
Residency within 50 miles of Orchard Park, NY.
Must be a U.S. person under ITAR regulations (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, political asylum seeker, or refugee).
Preferred
AS9100, FAA certifications.
EASA certification.
