This role primarily involves basic desktop support and systems administration, serving as a foundation for growth into more advanced technical responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Create and manage Cases and Incidents using enterprise ticketing systems (ServiceNow or equivalent).
Oversee day-to-day operations of customer IT infrastructure, ensuring timely and accurate technical support.
Troubleshoot and administer Windows-based applications, operating systems (Desktop & Server), and server roles (Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, DFS, Print/File Services).
Perform virus/malware remediation and troubleshoot multifunction devices (MFPs), scanners, and fax machines.
Provide initial troubleshooting for Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix environments and Remote Desktop Services (RDS).
Support Microsoft 365 administration and licensing (user provisioning, license assignment, compliance monitoring).
Perform basic troubleshooting of VMware/ machines.
Manage print servers and user printers.
Manage file and shared drive permissions.
Participate in on-call rotations, including occasional weekend or after-hours work.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
Familiarity with basic networking technologies and concepts (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, firewalls).
Demonstrated ability to consistently meet KPIs.
Desired Qualifications / Experience
CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications.
Experience with:
Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2019/2022 (including Group Policy).
Microsoft 365 administration and licensing (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
Citrix Virtual Apps/Desktops and/or VMware virtualization.
Networking/Switching hardware and basic troubleshooting.
Exposure to cloud services (Azure fundamentals, SaaS applications).
Work Conditions and Other Considerations
Candidate must have reliable transportation.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Extended periods of seated work expected.
