Construction Litigation Attorney – Orange County, CA
A well‑established California law firm is seeking an experienced Construction Litigation Attorney to join its team in Orange County. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex construction disputes and wants the flexibility while still being part of a sophisticated, high‑performing practice.
About the Role: You’ll handle a diverse construction‑focused caseload, including defect claims, delay and disruption issues, contract disputes, mechanics liens, and other related matters. The firm offers strong partner access, steady workflow, and the chance to work with top‑tier clients in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage construction defect and construction litigation matters from initial claim evaluation through resolution
Draft and argue motions, pleadings, briefs, and discovery
Conduct and defend depositions
Handle mediations, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation
Collaborate with experts and consultants across multiple technical fields
Communicate directly with clients and provide strategic guidance
Qualifications:
3–8+ years of construction litigation experience
Strong litigation skills, including motion practice, depositions, and case strategy
Experience with construction defect matters highly preferred
Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment while staying highly responsive and organized
Billables: 1800
Bonus: $100 an hour after 1800 billables + $20k to $30k end of year bonus
Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between $170,000 – $220,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
