Senior Development Coordinator
Orange County Government is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Senior Development Coordinator within the Housing & Community Development Division. The role is specialized, responsible for directing major work program elements of the Affordable Housing Trust Fund (AHTF) team.
Job Responsibilities
Assist the supervisor with work program tasks including data gathering and preparation of reports related to the implementation of programs and projects funded through the Affordable Housing Trust Fund (AHTF) and projects funded with federal and state dollars.
Independently administer affordable housing programs and activities identified in the AHTF Plan strategies, including gap financing for affordable housing development, revolving loan fund, preservation of homeowner and rental housing, impact fee exemptions, and surplus lots for affordable housing development.
Draft and review contractual agreements in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Attend meetings with special interest groups, professional and community groups, non‑profits, private and non‑profit developers, and the public to present on issues of affordable housing and community development.
Coordinate with internal and external agencies and assist with general meeting preparation and necessary public contact.
Provide technical assistance to funded agencies and various stakeholders on an as‑needed basis.
Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Planning, Public Administration, Engineering, Geography, Statistics, Physical Science or a closely related field; five (5) years of experience in planning and/or zoning fields. Additional relevant experience may be substituted on a year‑for‑year basis in lieu of the degree requirements.
