Position Summary The Regional Operations Manager oversees and optimizes field operations across the assigned region while ensuring full compliance with NETA standards, company policies, and industry best practices. The role provides leadership to regional teams, drives operational efficiency, supports safety and quality initiatives, and ensures consistent delivery of high‑quality electrical testing and maintenance services.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and support regional operations teams, including field supervisors, technicians, and support staff.
Ensure all testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities comply with current NETA standards, company procedures, and applicable codes.
Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and workload balancing to meet project timelines and customer expectations.
Monitor operational performance metrics, including safety, quality, productivity, and profitability.
Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, and company safety programs.
Collaborate with sales, engineering, and project management teams to support business development and customer satisfaction.
Support technician development through training, certification tracking (NETA, NICET, etc.), and performance coaching.
Conduct site visits, audits, and operational reviews to ensure quality and consistency across the region.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives for regional operations.
Address and resolve operational issues, customer concerns, and escalations as needed.
Perform other job-related duties as requested by management.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in electrical testing, commissioning, or power systems services.
Prior leadership or management experience in field operations.
Strong working knowledge of NETA standards, electrical testing procedures, and industry best practices.
Experience managing multi-site or regional teams.
Strong understanding of power systems, substations, switchgear, protective relays, and transformers.
NETA Level III or IV certification.
NICET certification.
Strong leadership and team management skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality control software.
