We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled
Project Manager
to join our team in Rochester, New York. In this role, you will work on exciting and challenging projects that make a real impact in the energy and utility sectors. You’ll be part of a dynamic, people-focused team where your expertise, ideas, and contributions will be valued and celebrated.
Role Expectations
Initiation, Planning, Executing, and Closing Projects – define the project WBS, Cost Baseline, and OBS structure, initiate the project, build its comprehensive work plan, and control risks, scope, schedule, and budget.
Managing Teams – facilitate commitment and productivity, remove obstacles, and manage teams.
Implementation and Management of Quality and Environmental Processes and procedures on all projects focusing on meeting SPI and CPI performance indicators less than 1.0.
Management of third‑party projects, including other transmission and interconnecting customers.
Accountable and Responsible for:
Cost / Budgeting and Management
Communication Management
Change Management
Schedule Management
Construction Management Oversight
Commissioning Management Oversight
Risk Management
Regulatory and Stakeholder Management
Responsible for the execution and successful completion of the project and the main point of contact between contractors and the client on all project matters.
Responsible for monitoring and measuring project performance throughout the project and resolving any contract disputes related to costs, scope, and schedule.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree is required.
5+ years in large‑scale projects/program management for utility business.
Professional Engineer License and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Project Management Professional or Program Management Professional.
Minimum five (5) years’ experience in the functional area under which it will be contracted: Substations, T&D, Gas‑Hydro, and OSG.
Pay Range $100,000–$108,000 annually
