Project Manager I – Overview We are seeking a highly motivated
Project Manager I
to join our team at
K&A Engineering
in
Ithaca, Plattsburg, and Mechanicville, New York . The role supports Distributed Generation Interconnection Projects across the NY East area, managing numerous solar projects currently in construction and future projects through 2025.
Key Responsibilities
Initiate, plan, execute, and close projects – define WBS, cost baseline, OBS structure, build comprehensive work plan, control risks, scope, schedule, and budget.
Manage teams – facilitate commitment and productivity, remove obstacles, and lead teams.
Implement and manage quality and environmental processes – focus on meeting SPI and CPI performance indicators less than 1.0.
Manage third‑party projects – coordinate with other transmission customers and interconnecting customers.
Accountable for cost/budgeting, communication management, change management, schedule management, construction management oversight, commissioning management oversight, risk management, regulatory and stakeholder management.
Serve as the main point of contact between contractors and the client on all project matters.
Monitor and measure project performance throughout the project and resolve any contract disputes relative to costs, scope, and schedule.
Travel Requirements Site travel may be required as needed.
Compensation Salary is based on technical ability, experience, licenses, certifications, and related skillsets. The disclosed range is an estimate and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
