Mission description

Location: Twinsburg, OH. Travel less than 20%, approx. 1 trip per quarter. On‑site presence 5 days per week.

Responsabilités clés

Lead engineering development projects, responsible for technical process compliance, schedule, non‑recurring costs, manage technical risks, and adherence to project milestones.

Lead a cross‑functional project team of engineers across several different departments, prioritizing and communicating issues to the Program Manager and upper management.

Effective project communication to engineering team, engineering management, program management, and customers (technical aspects).

Organise and lead technical decision‑making process within projects, ensuring compatibility with program objectives.

Estimation, planning, coordination, and tracking of engineering work; ensure adherence to Safran Development process.

Project planning and reporting; organise and lead the project (WBS, OBS, top level schedule, SOW engineering) in accordance with program objectives for engineering.

Identify resource requirements and maintain the project plan in line with assigned resources.

Forecasting engineering resource needs (human and financial) for budgeting and financial control purposes.

Ensure projects are delivered to financial targets for Engineering Non‑Recurring Costs (NRC).

Ensure technical decisions are coherent with the Recurring Costs (RC) targets.

Ensure project deliverables are delivered to the agreed timescale.

Manage technical risks (identification, quotation, mitigation, escalation).

Provide necessary KPI’s to the Program Manager and engineering management.

Ensure compliance with Airworthiness requirements and define project milestones, both external and internal.

Manage system configuration at program level and with customer; request technical audits when necessary.

Ensure project considers Design to Industrialization and Manufacturability.

Support lead engineers in interfacing between different departments or sites.

Work nights and weekends and variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary.

Regular travel (up to 25% possible). Other duties may be assigned.

Supervisory responsibilities: no direct reports, but work with functional managers on resource allocation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering and minimum of 4 years experience in an engineering or technical project management role.

Experience participating or leading the development of new complex technical products, preferably in aerospace or other highly regulated industry.

Experience within a matrix organization.

Experience leading technical teams.

Experience with MS Project or equivalent (essential).

Preferred: Experience leading cross‑functional program teams; Experience developing an aerospace product for a US Military Program.

Knowledge of aerospace standards (RTCA DO‑160, DO‑178, DO‑254, ARP‑4754A, etc.).

Power BI experience.

PMP Certified.

Leadership skills: strong leadership and strategic thinking; excellent interpersonal skills.

Emotional resilience and problem‑solving skills.

Negotiation skills: ability to reach consensus with customers, partners, competitors.

Strong customer relations: ability to establish trust and converge needs of all parties.

Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to develop clear and detailed plans.

Financial acumen: understanding of key financial metrics and tools (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Business case, Earned Value).

Ability to generate proactive recovery plans.

Communication: convey key issues/objectives to internal and external customers.

Cooperation: collaborate as part of a multi‑partner organization.

Positive attitude and promoting the program internally and externally.

Physical Demands This position sits and performs computer work for extended periods of time.

Work Environment Office setting with moderate office noise.
