Purpose and Scope The Coordinator II, Student Success and Support coordinates the connection between students and campus resources, while addressing and alleviating fundamental challenges faced by students, ensuring they have access to essential resources for their well‑being. The role aims to create a campus environment that fosters inclusivity, supports diversity, and actively promotes the holistic success of every student by addressing issues related to food insecurity, housing instability, and financial difficulties.

Essential Job Functions

Identifies strategies to address students’ basic needs, including food insecurity, housing instability, and financial hardships by connecting to campus resources.

Collaborates with campus departments and community organizations to create and enhance support programs for students facing basic needs challenges.

Assesses the needs of the student population and continuously refines and researches services to meet changing demands.

Maintains strong partnerships with local agencies, non‑profits, and government entities to enhance resources available to students.

Promotes campus policies and initiatives that address systemic issues contributing to student basic needs insecurities at both institutional and community levels.

In collaboration with the Special Projects Department, connects with educational programs to increase awareness among students, faculty, and staff about available resources and support services.

Proactively engages in outreach activities to ensure that students are informed about and have access to basic needs programs.

Collects data and performs inventory checks to assess the effectiveness of basic needs programs and uses findings to inform continuous improvement efforts.

Collaborates with campus stakeholders to integrate basic needs initiatives into broader student success and retention efforts.

Responsible for other reasonable related duties as assigned.

Strong attention to accuracy and detail.

Excellent knowledge of general office and software applications.

Ability to prepare and analyze reports.

Possesses excellent organizational skills.

Strong multi‑tasking abilities with the ability to prioritize duties.

High level of customer service.

Physical Abilities The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

Work Schedule and Conditions

Equipment used includes a PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone, and other general office equipment.

Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position.

Work is performed in a climate‑controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards.

Required Qualifications

Associate’s degree and at least 3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary Hiring salary range is $44,793 – $51,512.
