Job Description The Coordinator II, Student Success and Support coordinates the connection between students and campus resources, addressing fundamental challenges such as food insecurity, housing instability, and financial difficulties. The role fosters an inclusive campus environment, supports diversity, and promotes holistic student success.
Essential Job Functions
Identify strategies to address students' basic needs, including food insecurity, housing instability, and financial hardships, by connecting them to campus resources.
Collaborate with campus departments and community organizations to create and enhance support programs for students facing basic needs challenges.
Assess the needs of the student population and continuously refine and research services to meet changing demands.
Maintain strong partnerships with local agencies, non‑profits, and government entities to enhance resources available to students.
Promote campus policies and initiatives that address systemic issues contributing to student basic needs insecurities.
In collaboration with the Special Projects Department, connect with educational programs to increase awareness among students, faculty, and staff about available resources and support services.
Proactively engage in outreach activities to ensure that students are informed about and have access to basic needs programs.
Collect data and perform inventory checks to assess the effectiveness of basic needs programs and use findings to inform continuous improvement efforts.
Collaborate with campus stakeholders to integrate basic needs initiatives into broader student success and retention efforts.
Perform other reasonable related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong attention to accuracy and detail.
Excellent knowledge of general office and software applications.
Ability to prepare and analyze reports.
Excellent organizational skills.
Strong multitasking abilities with the ability to prioritize duties.
High level of customer service.
Physical Abilities The work is sedentary with occasional walking, standing, bending, and carrying of light items. No special physical demands are required.
Work Schedule and Conditions
Uses a PC workstation in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone, and standard office equipment.
Interfaces with internal and external contacts as needed.
Work is performed in a climate‑controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards.
Required Qualifications Associate's degree with at least 3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary Hiring salary range is $44,793 – $51,512, commensurate with experience and education.
