Job Summary Eastern Washington University seeks a skilled, team‑oriented Program Specialist 2 to support the Area Health Education Center (AHEC) grant program funded through 06/30/2027. The role involves applying AHEC rules, serving as a liaison to program participants and partners, interpreting policies, and coordinating program activities.
Responsibilities
Oversee day‑to‑day AHEC operations and resolve problems within scope of authority.
Develop and implement plans for program activities, coordinate with the Director, and ensure alignment with grant requirements.
Provide technical assistance to participants, staff, and outside agencies regarding program content and policies.
Attend meetings and conferences as program representative; prepare and present on AHEC initiatives.
Maintain and update program website, develop promotional materials, and distribute surveys.
Monitor program activities against goals, compile assessment data, and submit timely reports for the grant.
Support budget review, monitor expenditures, and assist faculty with travel arrangements.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of full‑time experience assisting in program execution.
Valid Washington State Driver’s License and private automotive insurance.
(Private insurance required.)
Experience working with K‑12 students, community organizations, and industry partners.
Excellent customer‑service skills and ability to build relationships with external agencies.
Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, data systems, PowerPoint, etc.).
Demonstrated ability to apply a responsive and flexible approach supporting all learners, faculty, staff, and the public.
Preferred Qualifications
College coursework or Bachelor’s degree (two or more years).
Experience with student recruitment or outreach activities.
Experience with data collection, compiling, and reporting.
