Peer Support Specialist
Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is an integrated behavioral healthcare agency offering a range of programs across Arizona. CBI provides residential, outpatient, inpatient, patient‑centered medical homes, medication‑assisted treatment, and crisis services for individuals experiencing crisis, opioid use disorder, homelessness, and mental illness. CBI is the premiere non‑profit fully integrated healthcare provider of substance use and behavioral health programs in Arizona, offering evidence‑based prevention, education, and treatment.
Job Summary The Peer Support Specialists (PSS) assigned to PCMH/OTP Community‑Based Services will perform the duties of a Peer Support Specialist. They address one‑on‑one support needs, provide support for day‑to‑day problem‑solving related to normalization and reintegration into the community. The PSS utilizes best practices of assertive engagement, harm reduction, and peer support to engage with members in the community and the facility, promoting a safe and inclusive recovery environment.
Skills & Requirements
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum of six months of recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders required
Current valid Arizona driver’s license
Clear 39‑month Motor Vehicle Record
Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) or ability to obtain CPSS certification within 90 days of hire
Addiction and Substance Use Disorders certification preferred
Fingerprint card required
