CBI provides residential, outpatient, inpatient, patient‑centered medical homes, medication‑assisted treatment, and crisis services to individuals experiencing crisis, opioid use disorder, homelessness, and mental illness.

Job Summary The Peer Support Specialists (PSS) assigned to PCMH/OTP Community‑Based Services will address one‑on‑one support needs and provide support for day‑to‑day problem‑solving related to normalization and reintegration into the community. The PSS utilizes best practices of assertive engagement, harm reduction, and peer support when working to engage with members in the community and the facility. The PSS embraces the recovery philosophy and promotes a safe and inclusive recovery environment for clients.

Skills / Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.

Minimum of six (6) months’ experience in Behavioral Health and/or Substance Abuse field required.

Minimum of six months of recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders required.

Current AZ Driver’s License (valid and in good standing).

Clear 39‑month Motor Vehicle Record.

Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) or ability to obtain a CPSS certification within 90 days of hire.

Addiction and Substance Use Disorders certification preferred.

Must have Fingerprint Clearance Card.
