Job Description Insight Global’s client is a top marine communications provider servicing both government and commercial customers. As the team grows, an additional Program/Project Manager position has opened. The role is 5 days a week onsite in Deerfield Beach, FL and requires eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
Responsibilities
Oversee the engineering project portfolio.
Work on multiple projects of moderate to large size, using time efficiently to stay within budget and meet delivery timelines.
Develop design elements for engineering projects, systems, components, and systems with team members, setting clear objectives involving plans, surveys, investigations, structures, and equipment.
Ensure project engineering activities comply with contract requirements and support overall schedule, scope, and budget.
Deliver all projects on‑time and within scope.
Prepare complete project documentation, including plans, specifications, and engineer estimates, and organize project data.
Evaluate, select, and adapt standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to assignments; formulate and solve problems.
Prepare and conduct meetings with internal teams to plan and track deliverables.
Work cross‑functionally and influence teams such as Engineering, Production, Sales, Project Management, Quality, and Procurement to improve deployment efficiency.
Interpret contract specifications and resolve conflicts with stakeholders, including specification interpretation and related matters.
Participate in customer meetings, resolving client, engineering, and management project issues.
Maintain a list of project milestones and in‑progress issues.
Assess and communicate project status, escalating potential risks and delays across multiple teams.
Identify standard work gaps, lessons learned, and propose continuous improvement to drive global deployment scalability.
Must Haves
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Systems Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Technical background in electrical, mechanical, systems, or related engineering.
At least 6–10+ years of project/program management experience.
Comfortable being hands‑on.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Ability to obtain a security clearance.
Willingness to work onsite 5 days a week in Deerfield Beach, FL.
Plusses
PMP certification.
Preferred additional education or certifications.
Shipboard integrated communications experience or other communications experience (radars, etc.).
Experience with Marine Communications Systems (Telephone Systems, Public Address, Alarms, etc.).
Federal or Military experience.
