Overview Join the PMO team responsible for all aspects of IT project governance, assessment, management, and control within the Division of Information Technology (DoIT). The Project Manager will manage delivery efforts, generate schedules, staff resources, procure vendor products and implementation services, submit funding requests, and report status across multiple current and future projects.Responsibilities
Use project governance structure (methodology, templates, reporting)
Interact with, educate, learn from, and drive business and IT teams
Work effectively under broad direction with general supervision
Motivate team and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced and challenging environment
Gather and organize multiple simultaneous complex business process scenarios
Break down complex tasks into actionable, sequenced work items
Manage scope creep with focus on delivering a minimum viable product
Track project progress, monitor and modify schedules, provide status updates
Escalate issues to management or appropriate leadership as appropriate
Provide insight on improving processes related to portfolio, project and program management
Perform other duties or tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications
Direct management of system integration projects
Experience managing stakeholder expectations and priorities
Experience working within a project governance structure
Extensive experience planning, managing and tracking multiple major impact projects
Strong process development skills and ability to learn, interpret, document and formalize procedures
Strong process and gap analysis skills
Excellent project management skills, ability to multitask and manage multiple tasks with changing priorities
Demonstrated experience gathering and documenting business requirements
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
Required Skills
Direct management of system integration projects
Experience managing stakeholder expectations and priorities
Experience working within a project governance structure
Extensive experience with planning, managing and tracking multiple major impact projects
Strong process development, documentation and formalization skills
