The School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment (SSEBE) Research Advancement (RA) Team is looking for a Pre‑Award Research Advancement Administrator. Research Advancement Administrators are part of a collaborative team directly supporting researchers making impactful advances in research globally. Salary Max Pay - Depends on Experience
Salary Range:
$42,480 - $59,000 per year; DOE
Responsibilities
Budget Management:
Develops budgets and budget narratives in conjunction with investigator provided information and sponsor guidelines.
Creates budgets using accepted university systems and tools, and sponsor budget formats.
Budgets cost share and obtains appropriate approvals.
Compliance Management:
Completes additional sponsor required forms, checking for compliance (current and pending support, biosketches) according to university policies and guidelines.
Assists sub‑recipients with questions related to completing sub‑recipient forms.Manages post‑submission action items requested by the sponsor such as just‑in‑time requests, revised budgets, scope of work changes, and additional certifications.
Administrative:
Independently reviews funding announcements and provides guidance on eligibility and sponsor requirements to investigators.
Independently reviews proposals against guidelines for compliance before sending to the Office of Research and Sponsored Project Administration.
Provides guidance and counsel during development, pre‑submission review which includes document management. Uploads grant and contract proposals to federal, state, and private funding agencies to verify and ensure ongoing compliance with all applicable regulatory and financial compliance requirements.

Experience in using organization, time management, and detail oriented skills.
Experience in multi‑tasking and meeting deadlines effectively.
Experience in Excel and web‑based tools.Demonstrated knowledge of budgetary principles, practices and procedures.
Evidence of effective communication skills.
Experience in using analytical skills.
