Purpose The Clinical Facilities Manager will serve as the primary facilities liaison for the clinics within the Health Transformation Building and other assigned clinical support spaces, providing necessary operations and maintenance support to maintain a clean and safe environment of care for patients, manage facilities work and projects, and ensure compliance with regulations and accreditation best practices.

Responsibilities

Oversees building maintenance, repair, safety, and cleanliness for the HTB. Oversees infrastructure needs and troubleshoots building problems, ensures preventive building maintenance is managed, and prepares and submits work orders for repairs and renovations. Plans and estimates time and materials requirements for project work.

Coordinates all building renovations in HTB in concert with Dell Medical School and UTHA including renovations and equipment outfitting activities. Interfaces with Facilities Services, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), contractors, vendors, etc. Coordinates all work orders with Facilities Services shops.

Processes, manages, and tracks Facilities Services work orders. Serves as point of contact for all renovations.

Serves as a liaison with UT Environmental Health and Safety, Custodial Services, UTPD, and Emergency Management. Serves on the DMS safety committee and helps ensure compliance with safety standards.

Responsible for inventory. Coordinates building access and serves as point of contact for access issues.

Other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Healthcare Administration, Construction or a related field.

5 years of relevant experience in facility management, operations and maintenance, and/or project management.

Understanding of healthcare clinical facilities systems, including MEP equipment, systems, and controls.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Engineering or Facilities Management.

7+ years in healthcare facilities operations.

Demonstrated experience with facilities systems such as air handling units, controls and building automation systems.

Familiarity with CMS and outpatient infection control standards.

Salary Range $83,000 + depending on qualifications

Retirement Plan Eligibility The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length. This position has the option to elect the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) instead of TRS, subject to the position being 40 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
