We’re seeking an
Assistant Project Manager (APM)
in Fort Worth with
5+ years of experience
on
heavy industrial or aviation
capital projects. This role is boots‑on‑the‑ground and client‑facial: you’ll support day‑to‑day field activities, keep documentation tight, and deliver concise,
daily reports
that keep owners informed and confident. You’ll rotate across projects as needed, so adaptability and strong organization are key.
Key Responsibilities
Field Execution & Coordination
Support the PM/CM on site to drive daily construction activities, logistics, and sequencing.
Coordinate with contractors, inspectors, and stakeholders to resolve field issues quickly.
Assist with site safety walks; champion a safety‑first culture and adherence to all regulations.
Controls, Documentation & Reporting
Produce clear, succinct daily field reports (progress, manpower, quantities, critical issues, photos) for client distribution.
Track and support RFIs, submittals, change orders, and punch‑list items; maintain audit‑ready records.
Update look‑ahead schedules; flag risks, constraints, and recovery plans.
Quality & Compliance
Support QA/QC inspections, test plans, and non‑conformance resolution.
Ensure compliance with contract documents, permits, and aviation/industrial protocols.
Client & Stakeholder Communications
Brief the client daily on status, risks, and decisions required—communicate in plain, decision‑ready language.
Prepare concise meeting minutes and action logs; drive follow‑ups to closure.
Project Coverage & Adaptability
Jump in on multiple concurrent assignments; reprioritize as work ramps up/down across sites.
Travel between facilities, terminals, or plant areas as required.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of construction management experience on heavy industrial (process, energy, manufacturing) or aviation (airside/landside, terminal, concourse) projects.
Demonstrated field responsibilities (daily coordination, issue resolution, inspections, logistics).
Proven ability to produce high‑quality daily field reports and owner updates.
Working knowledge of contracts, drawings/specs, RFIs, submittals, and change management.
Proficiency with construction and reporting tools (e.g., Procore/Autodesk Build, Bluebeam, MS Project/Primavera P6, Excel/Word).
Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
Compensation Range $71,981.92 – $95,975.90
