own and scale this business line . The role in one sentence
You are the commercial owner of our keynote business: turning inbound interest into booked stages, proactively growing international demand, and professionalising how our speaker collective operates. ️ What you’ll be responsible for
You manage the full commercial flow of our keynote offering. That means: Owning and following up on inbound keynote requests, from first contact to signed deal Actively developing outbound opportunities: cross-sell, up-sell and new international accounts Building long-term relationships with decision-makers across departments and with event agencies Managing and evolving our keynote speakers collective (±200 speakers): contracts, pricing, availability, intake calls, feedback and quality control Working closely with marketing to position and promote speakers and keynote formats Keeping CRM, quotations, follow-ups and basic admin tight enough to support growth Spotting trends in the keynote and events market and translating them into commercial opportunities You report directly to Matthias (Co-CEO) and work closely with marketing, program managers and admin. This is a solo role with strong team collaboration — and plenty of autonomy. What properties

This role requires:
Commercial instinct and negotiation skills Comfort with cold outreach and proactive business development A relevant professional network (or the ability to build one fast) Strong communication skills in
Dutch and English A structured way of working that keeps growth scalable requirements
Must-haves: Has
3–5 years of experience in B2B sales of services , ideally in environments like events, learning, consulting, media, or agencies Is comfortable owning a
hybrid sales role : managing inbound leads
and
creating outbound momentum Enjoys the commercial chase, but also understands that great keynote experiences live or die by good coordination Knows how to talk to senior decision-makers and negotiate with confidence Is genuinely interested in ideas, inspiration, speakers, and learning — not just the deal Understands how keynote and event businesses work (or has worked very close to them) What are
