Overview Are you a seasoned Title Clerk with a sharp eye for detail and a strong sense of accountability? Ready to lead regulatory compliance and fraud prevention in a high‑volume automotive environment? Give Me The Vin is a fast‑growing, high‑volume automotive company specializing in buying and selling pre‑owned vehicles nationwide. We’re seeking a Senior Title & Compliance Coordinator to lead complex title processing, enforce compliance protocols, and proactively detect and mitigate title fraud across multiple states.
Responsibilities
Accurately process in‑state and out‑of‑state retail and wholesale title documentation, ensuring high‑volume throughput and legal integrity.
Investigate and identify fraudulent or suspicious title documents, VIN discrepancies, duplicate titles, and potential odometer rollbacks, escalating as necessary to legal or leadership teams.
Maintain strict adherence to DMV laws, ELT requirements, and multi‑state compliance standards.
Track and manage title inventory, proactively following up on missing, delayed, or problematic titles.
Partner with Operations and Legal to resolve complex title issues and minimize risk across transactions.
Conduct regular audits and quality‑control checks to ensure process consistency and legal accuracy.
Contribute to the development and enforcement of internal title compliance policies and SOPs.
Support and mentor junior team members on title accuracy and fraud‑detection best practices.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; post‑secondary education in business, paralegal studies, or legal compliance is a plus.
3+ years of progressive title processing experience, ideally within a dealership, auction, or multi‑state automotive company.
Strong working knowledge of state‑specific title laws, DMV processes, and regulatory compliance.
Demonstrated experience detecting and resolving title fraud, forged documents, and VIN/title inconsistencies.
High attention to detail with zero tolerance for shortcuts or inaccuracies.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and dealership or auction software systems.
Strong analytical and investigative mindset; comfortable making decisions based on patterns and documentation review.
Notary certification or willingness to obtain (preferred).
