We are seeking an experienced
Electrical Project Manager
to lead capital projects focused on electrical systems in a manufacturing environment. This role manages the full project lifecycle—scope, budget, schedule, and commissioning—while ensuring safety, compliance, and operational readiness. Key Responsibilities
Manage Electrical CAPEX Projects:
Develop business cases, prepare AFE packages, and oversee budgets and schedules from design through startup. Electrical Systems Oversight:
LV/MV power distribution, MCCs, switchgear, transformers, drives, PLC/SCADA, and instrumentation per NFPA/NEC standards. Front-End Loading & Planning:
Drive FEL deliverables, risk analysis, and cost/schedule estimates for gate approvals. Engineering & Construction Coordination:
Work with EPC/EPCM firms, review electrical drawings and studies, and manage commissioning plans and energization. Safety & Compliance:
Champion LOTO, NFPA 70E, and corporate standards; ensure contractor safety and quality. Vendor Management:
Run RFPs, evaluate bids, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance. Documentation & Handover:
Maintain accurate as-builts, MOC compliance, and turnover packages for operations. Qualifications
Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. 5+ years
managing industrial electrical projects with significant CAPEX responsibility. Strong knowledge of power distribution (480V-13.8kV), drives, controls, and project management processes. Excellent leadership, communication, and vendor management skills. Preferred:
PE or PMP certification, pulp & paper experience, familiarity with NFPA/IEC standards, and project controls tools. Seniority Level
