Job Description Project Manager for the Carolinas West Project Management – Development – Grid Expansion group. Manages multiple "White" or "Green I" projects within the prescribed DISIS queue cluster study process and follows the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix.
Responsibilities
Manage multiple renewable and traditional generation projects such as solar, battery, gas, wind, and SMR.
Oversee project planning, execution, monitoring, and closing phases per industry best practices.
Coordinate with stakeholders across all levels, from individual contributors to senior department leadership.
Promote collaborative team function, risk management, and problem‑solving.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
Graduation from a two‑year college or university.
Working knowledge of project management principles and decision‑making.
Proficiency in critical thinking, problem‑solving, risk management, and project leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
Graduation from a four‑year college or university with a technical degree.
Knowledge of the Transmission System or Generators (solar, battery, gas).
Utility technical certifications/training such as PMP or CAPM, CMII certificates, or Professional Engineer license.
Proficiency in project scheduling and cost controls.
Experience in the utility industry or construction management.
