Position Summary
Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a
Project Manager
with our large power and utilities client in Charlotte, NC. This is a 3‑year contract with a potential for extension. The position is hybrid – 3 days a week in office.
Pay Base pay range:
$56.18/hr – $61.18/hr .
W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA‑compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.
Description This position is for a Project Manager in the Carolinas West Project Management – Development – Grid Expansion group. This group is responsible for the development of Generator Interconnections (solar, battery, gas, wind, SMR) projects within the prescribed DISIS queue cluster study process.
This position is typically retained to manage multiple “White” or “Green I” projects per the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
Graduation from a two‑year college or university.
Working knowledge of project management principles.
Working knowledge to proficiency in project management, decision making, critical thinking, and problem solving; project‑related work experience; risk management; project leadership; proven collaborative team member.
Preferred Qualifications
Graduation from a four‑year college or university with a technical degree.
Knowledge of the transmission system or generators (solar, battery, gas).
Utility technical certifications/training; PMI (PMP or CAPM) certification; CMII certificates; professional engineer license.
Working knowledge to proficiency in project‑related scheduling/cost controls.
Experience in utility industry.
Knowledge in construction management.
The Project Manager may have relationships with individuals in various organizations ranging from individual contributors to senior department leadership (i.e., individual contributors up to executive management).
