Job Description This position is for a Project Manager in the Carolinas West Project Management – Development – Grid Expansion group. The group is responsible for the development of Generator Interconnections (solar, battery, gas, wind, SMR) projects within the prescribed DISIS queue cluster study process. It typically manages multiple “White” or “Green I” projects per the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
Graduation from a two-year college or university.
Working knowledge of project management principles.
Working knowledge and proficiency in decision making, critical thinking, and problem solving. Project related work experience, risk management, project leadership, proven collaborative team member.
Preferred Qualifications
Graduation from a four-year college or university with a technical degree.
Knowledge of the Transmission System or Generators (solar, battery, gas).
Utility Technical Certifications/Training; PMI (PMP or CAPM) Certification; CMII certificates; Professional Engineer License.Working knowledge and proficiency in project related scheduling / cost controls.
Experience in utility industry.
Knowledge in construction management.
Education Associate's Degree
