Company Overview: For over 35 years, Himmel’s Architectural Door and Hardware has provided quality products and services in the commercial door and architectural specialties industry. The company is family‑owned and operates locations in New Orleans, Prairieville, Houston, Dallas, and Nashville. We pride ourselves as door opening experts, not simply a construction material supplier. Currently, we are seeking an Estimator to join our team at the Dallas location.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform take‑offs, identify relevant drawings and details, and review specifications.
Identify door and hardware products that give us a competitive advantage while meeting project requirements.
Communicate efficiently with customers, vendors, and architects to provide the best solution for the project.
Accurately input door, frame, and hardware information into estimating software (Comsense).
Provide clear and precise proposals to customers.
Follow up on all bids to ensure customer satisfaction with scope and price.
Preferred Skills:
Experience reading plans & specifications.
Experience using industry‑specific estimating software (Comsense or Pro‑tech).
Familiarity with the Construction Industry.
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Excellent oral & written communication skills.
Proficient computer skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook & Bluebeam.
Excellent mathematical aptitude & problem‑solving skills.
Ability to perform in an advanced, fast‑paced environment both individually and as part of a team.
Self‑motivated, strong work ethic, positive and helpful demeanor, and excellent customer service skills.
Must pass a drug and alcohol screen and successfully complete random screenings.

Experience: Construction Estimating – 3 years (Required)
Supplemental Pay: Bonus pay
