Responsibilities

Supervise personnel and equipment required for project(s); plan work schedule, manpower levels, material/equipment quantities.

Work with the Project Manager and other managers to ensure long‑term success of the site and project.

Maintain adherence to operating standards and manage labor hours and expenses.

Perform quality control of project design requirements, including drawings and specifications.

Prepare necessary reports: hours worked, equipment used, materials used, production. Coordinate with manager to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and schedule.

Operate company truck at jobsite to travel across the jobsite checking on equipment, employees and processes.

Maintain liaison with other departments (Project Management, Operations, Accounting, Transportation, Human Resources) to ensure all required equipment, materials, inspections, employee issues, and project schedule.

Budget Management

Execute job in accordance with budget; execute change orders, material usage, and use of pre‑determined vendors.

Assist in daily procurement of equipment repair/maintenance.

Business Development

Effectively present facts and respond to client questions in a professional manner.

Ensure customer satisfaction with existing projects and identify new business opportunities.

Safety

Maintain effective loss control and safety program.

Follow established safety rules, procedures, policies and OSHA and MSHA regulations.

Manage operations to achieve zero accident rates for the jobsite.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 1 year in construction environment and 1 year of supervisory experience.

Valid Kentucky Landfill Operator certification license.

Valid state‑issued driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to read, interpret and execute construction documents and safety rules.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and time‑keeping software.

Knowledge of EPA, OSHA, MSHA and other related state and federal regulations.

Willingness to work in extreme temperatures and at landfill, industrial and civil sites.
