Position Overview The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for recruitment, training, development, and supervision of Portfolio Managers, maintaining physical assets and performance of assigned properties, and assisting senior leadership with special projects.
Responsibilities
Oversee operational systems, processes, and infrastructure, identifying opportunities for improvement or revision.
Manage daily business operations, balancing responsibilities across sales, marketing, and other business lines.
Collaborate with senior leadership on metrics, budgets, forecasts and financial reports.
Establish and maintain professional relationships with internal business lines and external vendors.
Stay updated on industry regulations, trends, and technology.
Ensure agreements and documents comply with property‑specific rules.
Assist in preparing written and oral reports for management and Board of Directors.
Work with sales teams to set and achieve goals.
Partner with marketing to implement advertising strategies tailored to property’s resident profile.
Collaborate with construction on new project development and leasing efforts.
Maintain reliable transportation and be available for up to 70% travel.
Provide relief management to on‑site offices as needed.
Conduct a minimum of two site visits per property each month.
Lead weekly leadership calls and unscheduled communications.
Prepare for executive visits and create business plans.
Complete tasks in the Property Management System, manage vendor and resident communications, approve expenses, and oversee KPI metrics.
Create and review reports, including manual client reports, bonus reports, KPI reports, and financial reports.
Review and approve purchase orders, invoices, and purchase orders, and conduct month‑end closeout.
Review applications, monitor CRM engagement, address resident concerns, and oversee renewal rates.
Manage unit and amenity pricing, training, incident reporting, and vendor contracts.
Qualifications
4 years of Property Management experience, with 2 years in a regional manager or multi‑site role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Valid Driver’s License.
Experience with Property Management Software (Yardi preferred).
Organized, self‑starter with strong business acumen.
