Piper Companies is seeking a
Metrology Technician II
to join a leading organization in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry for a
12-month contracted onsite
position based out of
Clayton, NC . The
Metrology Technician II
will be responsible for calibrating and maintaining measuring equipment, supporting troubleshooting efforts, and contributing to metrology-related projects across the site.
Responsibilities of the Metrology Technician II include:
Calibrate and repair temperature, pressure, conductivity, humidity, pH, TOC, flow, mass, and frequency measuring equipment
Lead and participate in systematic problem-solving and cross-functional investigations
Execute calibration activities according to schedule and ensure documentation accuracy
Operate and maintain calibration standards while adhering to safety and environmental requirements
Support training for team members and assist with metrology-related projects
Qualifications for the Metrology Technician II include:
Associate’s degree in engineering or science discipline OR High School Diploma with 6+ years of relevant experience
Minimum of 4 years of metrology/calibration experience and strong understanding of instrumentation and control systems
Ability to calibrate process and utility instrumentation and read technical schematics
Experience with electronic calibration management systems (SAP, Blue Mountain RAM, ProCal, MAXIMO, etc.)
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to document issues thoroughly and accurately
Compensation for the Metrology Technician II:
Salary Range: $73,000-$93,000
Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, sick leave if required by law, and 401K
