Piper Companies is seeking a Metrology Technician to perform calibration and maintenance of critical instrumentation within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The Metrology Technician role is ideal for a skilled professional with experience in calibrating process and utility instruments and ensuring compliance in a regulated setting.

The Metrology Technician role is a 12 month contract with potential to convert permanent and requires you to sit on site in Clayton, NC.

Responsibilities of the Metrology Technician Calibrate and repair instruments for temperature, pressure, conductivity, humidity, pH, TOC, flow, and mass. Execute scheduled calibrations per corporate and local standards. Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues; support cross-functional investigations. Accurately document work and maintain calibration records. Operate calibration standards and ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements.

Requirements of the Metrology Technician Associate’s degree in engineering/science OR High School Diploma with 6+ years of metrology experience. Minimum 2 years of pharma calibration experience; 5 years preferred. Hands-on experience calibrating temp, pH, TOC, conductivity, humidity, and pressure instruments. Proficiency with SAP or similar calibration management systems (Blue Mountain RAM, ProCal, MAXIMO). Ability to read schematics and technical documents; strong troubleshooting skills.

Differentiators Prior military maintenance/calibration experience. Greenfield project experience. SAP expertise (all work performed via SAP).

Compensation for the Metrology Technician includes $30.00-$45.00 Full Comprehensive Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, PTO, Paid Holiday and Sick Leave if Required by Law
