We are seeking a
Materials & Logistics Supervisor
to oversee daily materials movement, inventory control, and shipping and receiving operations in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This is a hands‑on leadership role driving operational excellence, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage shipping logistics operations, including finished goods storage, inspection, packaging, shipping, and receiving.
Oversee inventory control processes to ensure accuracy, accountability, and compliance.
Coordinate daily logistics activities to support on‑time delivery and operational efficiency.
Drive lean process improvements, cost‑reduction strategies, and working capital optimization.
Act as liaison between internal teams (Supply Chain, Operations, Contracts, Customer Service) and external stakeholders to resolve shipping and logistics issues.
Build, train, and mentor a flexible logistics team focused on responsiveness and service excellence.
Generate reports and metrics to support quality and process improvement initiatives.
Coordinate physical inventories and cycle counts to meet fiscal and regulatory requirements.
Manage excess and obsolete inventory reporting, disposition, and control.
Recommend and implement process changes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of related experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Strong background in shipping, receiving, logistics, and inventory control.
Solid understanding of integrated production and inventory management practices.
Proficiency with Excel, Access, and word‑processing tools.
ERP system experience required (Oracle preferred).
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be a U.S. Person to comply with ITAR/EAR regulations.
Vantage Clear or equivalent security clearance required.
Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $90,000 – $120,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
