Job Overview As the Import/Export Customs Compliance Administrator, you will be responsible for the classification, clearance, and overall record‑keeping of KAC Peoria (PMO & PPD) Import/Export Operations. You will coordinate master files, electronic files, and regulatory files for all import/export products, sustain an "Informed Compliance" record‑keeping system, advise intra‑company departments, and maintain knowledge of current and new Customs laws and regulations. You will distribute compliance/shipping documents to freight forwarders and U.S. customs house brokers.

The role includes import documentation for PMO & PPD purchased parts and PPD Return Claim Shipments from around the world. You will oversee and maintain auditable data required by Customs for all imported parts purchased by PMO/PPD, and correspond with foreign suppliers, internal Purchasing and Freight Forwarders to obtain and provide necessary documents and information for Customs clearance. Processing accounts payable billings for freight (inland, air and ocean), duty and handling charges is another primary responsibility.

Key Job Responsibilities

Compliance record‑keeping of imported documents.

Receive, review for accuracy, compile and distribute documents to stakeholders in a timely manner.

Maintain the annual USMCA Certificate of Origin from all PMO & PPD suppliers in accordance with the NAFTA agreement and its subsequent requirements.

Provide and maintain Certificate of Origin for PMO & PPD outbound shipments in accordance with current Free Trade Agreements.

Review, approve and process broker, inland and ocean freight billings for payment.

Maintain and analyze cost reports for inland, ocean and direct shipments to KAC distributors.

Liaise with global vendors to provide proof of EPA compliance to meet U.S./CAN requirements.

Prepare responses and maintain files for Manufacturer's Affidavits, Certificates of Origin, Assists, Anti‑Dumping, Re‑Packaging, and Customs CF28 and CF29 requests.

Qualifications / Requirements

5+ years minimum experience in import and/or export field.

Very detail oriented with strong organizational skills; attention to accuracy is critical.

Effective oral and written communication with good work ethic.

Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and prioritize duties and responsibilities.

Working knowledge of CFR, HTS, and Incoterms.

Proficiency with ERP system; working knowledge of Word and Excel.

Periodic travel to specialized Customs seminars for regulatory updates.

Broker's License and/or experience within the mining or construction equipment industry is a plus.

Hiring Range Base pay ranges from $47,900 to $59,900, with the actual offer contingent upon experience and location.
