Responsibilities
Coordinate shipments from Chinese suppliers and factories
Communicate daily with China teams (Mandarin required)
Manage Incoterms (FOB, EXW, CIF, DDP)
Align production readiness with shipment schedules
U.S. Import & Customs Compliance
HTS classification and duty calculation
Country of origin verification
Section 301 tariff management
Work with U.S. Customs Brokers
Respond to CBP requests (CF28/CF29)
Maintain records per U.S. compliance requirements (5 years)
Transportation & Logistics
Coordinate ocean, air, and ground freight
Manage freight forwarders and carriers
Track shipments, manage delays, and escalate risks
Optimize transit time and freight cost
Identify duty savings opportunities (FTAs, exclusions, routing)
Reduce demurrage, detention, and storage fees
Support audits and internal controls
Required Skills & Experience
Strong knowledge of China–USA trade lanes
U.S. Customs regulations & CBP compliance
Incoterms 2020
2–5 years in international trade or logistics
Direct experience with China sourcing or manufacturing
Recommended Certifications (not mandatory)
Licensed Customs Broker (LCB – USA)
CCS – Certified Customs Specialist
