Position Summary The Lean Six Sigma Manager delivers high‑impact leadership for divisional or functional Lean Six Sigma projects. As a member of the divisional operating committee, you own the development and delivery of a multi‑million‑dollar portfolio of projects, partner with the division president and operating committee on strategy, and partner with functional leaders to develop measurements, analyze data, and perform financial analysis that aligns the organization around the greatest opportunities to increase margin and improve customer experience.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop annual and three‑year Margin Focus plans for the assigned division or business area, delivering multi‑million‑dollar financial impact.
Maintain alignment and priorities of all projects within the overall Margin Focus plan portfolio and deliver results per financial commitments.
Create organizational disciplines, structures, and reporting tools to ensure excellence in the delivery of results.
Provide strategic direction and leadership to a group of Lean Sigma Black Belts, Master Black Belts, and Lean Management professionals; serve as mentor and coach to develop high‑performance leaders.
Collaborate closely with strategic suppliers and external customers (dealers, retail operations, The Home Depot, etc.) to identify and optimize extended‑supply‑chain opportunities.
Facilitate strategy development using tools such as OKRs, Hoshin Planning, and Lean Six Sigma or other process disciplines.
Lead all levels of the division or business area to embrace a culture of process excellence, continuous learning, and superior customer experience.
Maintain direct and personal involvement of critical projects, ensuring direct leadership impact on transforming key divisional processes into vehicles of world‑class customer experience and strong financial results.
Direct a team of 10+ technically skilled leaders, including those who supervise others; provide indirect leadership by influence as well.
Report directly to the VP of Lean Sigma or equivalent.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in design, manufacturing, or industrial engineering.
Minimum 10 years of professional experience in process improvement, quality, or business process development; at least 2 years dedicated to leading and delivering Lean Six Sigma Black Belt projects.
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification required; Master Black Belt certification preferred.
Strong communication skills with sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and opinions.
Strategic thinking and change‑management capabilities.
Drive results through persuasiveness, influencing skills, and timely follow‑through.
Highly effective coaching and mentoring skills.
Ability to build relationships, develop people, and create high‑performing teams.
Pay Range $131,540.00 – $210,460.00
