Delivery Specialist
Join the O'Reilly Auto Parts team as a Delivery Specialist delivering parts and products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
Essential Job Functions
Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers safely and efficiently.
Use fleet‑management hand‑held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of delivery vehicles; complete daily inspections before operating.
Secure vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand‑held devices, and money collected at all times.
Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and fill out driver return slips.
Communicate any customer problems or special needs to store management.
Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to store manager immediately.
Ensure fuel tank is filled and lock and secure vehicle at end of day.
Clock in/out according to company policy.
Perform additional duties as assigned, including customer service, sweeping, general stocking, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, checking in and putting up stock orders, etc.
Occasionally assist customers, serve as a cashier, and/or help with merchandising tasks when business dictates.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
Driving record that meets the company’s 14/18‑point system.
Possession of a legally required state driver’s license and compliance with company driving eligibility requirements.
Desired Skills and Experience
Familiarity with automotive parts.
Ability to operate other light store equipment.
Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
