Summary The Senior Analyst – Performance Management is a data‑driven, detail‑oriented analyst who supports operational intelligence across vehicle logistics, port operations, and affiliated networks. The role builds interactive dashboards, analyzes complex datasets, and writes SQL queries to uncover trends, inefficiencies, and process improvement opportunities. Proficiency in Python, machine learning fundamentals, regression analysis, and basic predictive modeling is essential. Key responsibilities include automating reports, enhancing self‑service BI tools, and contributing to performance reviews that inform strategic decisions. Collaboration with cross‑functional teams ensures insights align with operational objectives. Candidates should have a quantitative degree and up to two years of relevant experience, including academic or internship work in analytics or logistics. A collaborative mindset and openness to feedback are equally important.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards using Power BI (or equivalent tools) to monitor KPIs related to vehicle throughput, port operations, and logistics performance.
Write, optimize, and manage SQL queries to extract, clean, and structure data from multiple systems for analysis and reporting.
Perform comparative and trend analyses across time periods, ports, affiliates, and other operational variables to identify performance gaps, anomalies, or areas of opportunity.
Leverage Jupyter Notebooks to perform exploratory data analysis (EDA), visualize data relationships, prototype models, and communicate code‑driven insights clearly.
Conduct root‑cause analyses on operational inefficiencies, including delays, congestion, and cycle‑time deviations in vehicle movement and port handling workflows.
Build and refine basic predictive models (e.g., regression, classification) using Python to support operational forecasting and risk identification.
Automate recurring reporting tasks and develop self‑service BI tools to improve accessibility and reduce manual effort across departments.
Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to define meaningful performance metrics and ensure that reporting aligns with strategic and operational goals.
Translate data findings into clear narratives and recommendations for both technical and non‑technical audiences through presentations and visualizations.
Document reporting logic, data definitions, model assumptions, and analysis workflows to ensure consistency, reproducibility, and knowledge sharing.
Apply data visualization best practices to maximize clarity, usability, and impact of analytics deliverables.
Utilize version control (e.g., Git) within notebooks or analytics projects to maintain code integrity and support collaboration.
Proactively identify and recommend data quality improvements, tool enhancements, or metric refinements that could strengthen analytical outputs.
Demonstrate flexibility and a proactive attitude toward taking on additional responsibilities that align with the scope and objectives of the role.
Participate in cross‑functional planning discussions, contributing analytical insights during new initiatives or process improvements.
Prepare data‑driven materials and summaries in support of performance reviews and executive‑level decision‑making.
Help standardize workflows and reporting processes by supporting documentation and implementation of operational best practices.
Contribute to data governance efforts by upholding quality standards, ensuring consistency, and promoting ethical data practices.
Support change management and adoption efforts, helping operational teams integrate and adapt to analytics‑based solutions.
Conduct industry research and applied benchmarking to inform long‑term planning and enhance operational strategies.
Participate in testing and feedback cycles during the rollout of new dashboards, platforms, or performance management systems.
Assist with the design and execution of analytics‑driven projects that enhance visibility, efficiency, and performance across vehicle logistics and port operations.
Collaborate with Hyundai Glovis teams and project leads to ensure data needs are met during system upgrades, new platform integrations, or process redesigns.
Maintain a commitment to continuous learning, actively exploring and evaluating emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies that can improve analytical capabilities and project outcomes.

Compensation Range $58,000 – $63,000 per year (subject to compensation study upon candidate selection).
