The Coriell Institute for Medical Research is in search of a Project Manager, who is responsible for implementing project scopes of work for one or more Coriell Repositories, including sample and data processing and verification, and sample distribution management.

They will implement project goals, track progress and timelines, and summarize metrics for reporting. The Project Manager enhances the department by managing day‑to‑day Repository operations, supporting process improvements, liaising between internal and external stakeholders, and supporting scientific outreach to the community at large.

Responsibilities

Manage routine sample submissions from individuals or small families interested in donating samples to the biobanks or from clinical researchers

Implement project scope of work, including sample accessioning, sample data management and verification, tracking of sample processing and storage, and sample distribution management, all while managing required internal and external communications to assure continuity of Project Deliverables.

Support operational enhancements such as submission process improvements, distribution improvements, and data management improvements to provide assistance to internal departments including the labs and customer service, increase productivity and improve the quality of project deliverables for the whole PM team

Helps with the preparation of different marketing content including brochures, pamphlets, and social media content; support Coriell’s biobanking mission at scientific conferences and meetings

Generates and organizes data and assists in making figures/tables for the Principal Investigator or Project Lead to use for internal and external reporting purposes to remain in compliance with NIH contracts, cooperative agreements, grant and service agreement requirements and to provide repository status updates to both internal and external stakeholders; to support internal quality assurance management

Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field of study.

Experience 1‑3 years with hands‑on project management experience, ideally within the biomedical/healthcare field is highly preferred.

Ability to multi‑task efficiently and prioritize short‑ and long‑term projects,

Ability to understand and follow current and new Standard Operating Procedures is strictly required,

Autonomous in day‑to‑day tasks, working independently outside of projects and cross‑functional operations, an ability to complete tasks without direct oversight or review of work,

The ability to focus on small details, tactfully problem‑solve bottlenecks or issues, and the capacity to maintain a respectful and professional work environment are all essential skills for this forward‑facing position.

Compensation and Benefits The starting salary for this role is $57,000, and is dependent on experience. The position is eligible for common health & welfare benefits, participation in our 403(b) plan, a 7% Monthly Contribution to a 401(a), 20 days of PTO, 10+ Paid Holidays, and 7 Paid Sick days per year. The role would be afforded a suite of employer‑paid life and disability insurance policies.
