Quality Assurance Inspector / Auditor

Assistant Quality Manager
Position Objective:
Responsible for the inspection of products to assure that they meet specifications.
Essential Functions
Make regular inspection rounds to required work areas.
Verify that parts meet quality specifications both visually and dimensionally in accordance with specifications and/or work instructions.
Communicate to Quality Supervisor, Production Supervisor and others to inform them of quality issues in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate documentation of all quality issues that occur on assigned shift.
Qualifications
Understanding of injection molding.
Knowledge of quality assurance methods, processes and procedures.
Ability to solve problems with excellent interpersonal skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Aptitude for basic math and ability to operate standard measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, feeler gauge, height stand).
Knowledge of blueprint reading is preferred; ability to recognize and identify quality issues both visually and dimensionally.
Non‑Essential Functions Maintain cleanliness and order in the Quality Assurance Department. Perform additional duties as assigned.
