Join us for an exciting career opportunity within a dynamic team. Walmart is expanding its workforce and is looking for a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to support our local and regional stores. This role requires routine maintenance tasks to uphold the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart Stores, equipment, or fixtures. You will work under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager, adhere to maintenance schedules, conduct inspections, clean, and repair facilities and equipment.
Base Pay Range $21.00/hr - $39.00/hr
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, food equipment).
Use the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders, support store associates, and document repair activities.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete all required training and safety certifications for equipment and tools.
Minimum Qualifications
18 years or older.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., use ladders, work at heights, stand or sit for long periods, work in varying temperatures.
Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR.
Vocational or Technical certification and either:
1 year of experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade; or
2 years of total work experience in one of those trades.
3 years of experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade for a minimum qualification level.
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of a 2‑year Vocational or Technical trade program.
License in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located.
Intermediate proficiency with office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
