Position Summary
Walmart is expanding its workforce and seeking a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our local and regional teams. The role executes routine maintenance tasks to uphold the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart Stores, equipment, and fixtures under the supervision of the General Maintenance Manager.
Key Responsibilities Maintain and repair facilities, equipment, and assets using plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, and other trade skills.
Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair orders supporting stores and associates.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
Position Requirements 18 years or older.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Can lift up to 50 lbs at a time.
Can move up and down ladders frequently.
Comfortable working at heights frequently.
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
Able to work in various temperatures.
Hold a valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience in plumbing, electrical, or material handling equipment.
