Job Summary
Goodwill of Western Missouri & Eastern Kansas offers an opportunity for a Books and Media Production Associate to process pre‑scanned books into online listings. This position reports to the Sr. eCommerce Operations Supervisor.
Base Pay Range $14.00/hr – $14.00/hr
Essential Functions
Evaluate pre‑scanned books to determine online salability, considering condition, markings, and completeness.
Category books onto shelving system according to standards.
Pull appropriate books to fulfill order requests.
Meet production numbers set by divisional management.
Follow loss prevention guidelines.
Assist in packaging/shipping as needed to meet volume requirements and maintain customer satisfaction.
Upload high‑quality scanned books into provided software and post items onto internal platform.
Provide clear and accurate online information about book condition and completeness, including additional components.
Use software reports to perform pulls according to Agency standard.
Maintain safety, cleanliness, and organization of the e‑book area.
Communicate safety or loss prevention issues for quick resolution.
Perform any other duties assigned by the eCommerce Manager.
Work Environment & Physical Demands This job operates in a warehouse setting. It requires verbal communication, active listening, and the ability to bend, squat, crawl, climb, reach, and stand as necessary. The role involves lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling medium weight up to 50 pounds and exposure to moving machinery, temperature and humidity changes, and dust.
Qualifications
At least 6 months of work history, unless first job.
High school diploma or equivalent not required.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and work independently.
Strong work ethic, character, and integrity.
Commitment to the organization’s mission.
Comfort with handling cash and operating a cash register.
Understanding of donor process importance to mission.
Ability to become certified in hand stacker operation.
