Business Banking Associate Manager Hiring Range:

$68,745- $85,932 annually

Bank of North Dakota (BND) is seeking a Business Banking Associate Manager to play a key role in supporting the Bank’s mission of promoting agriculture, commerce, and industry across the state. Responsibilities

As the Business Banking Associate Manager, you will lead and develop a team of Business Banking Associates, including a senior‑level trainer, who support participation, direct, Economic Development, and legislatively directed lending programs. You will help ensure high‑quality loan documentation, efficient workflow coordination, and responsive service delivery while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.

You will provide day‑to‑day leadership, coaching, and performance support. You will set clear expectations, hold regular one‑on‑one conversations, and support individualized development to strengthen skills and confidence. You will promote an empowering team environment that values ownership, respect, and continuous improvement. You will oversee staffing and workload coordination by assigning and balancing daily work across documentation, workflow, and customer support activities. You will monitor priorities, adjust workloads as needed, and ensure appropriate coverage during peak periods or staff absences. Partnering with the senior trainer, you will support onboarding, cross‑training, and ongoing skill development. You will reinforce documentation standards and program requirements, identify opportunities to improve processes and training materials, and collaborate with internal teams to address recurring challenges. You will also serve as a key liaison between the team and business partners, communicating updates clearly and sharing operational insights with leadership.

To be successful in this position you will be an analytical and people‑focused leader who can identify trends, process gaps, and documentation challenges. You will communicate proactively, raise issues thoughtfully, and collaborate effectively across teams to support accurate, timely, and high‑quality loan workflows.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you will have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, agricultural economics, or a related field, along with a minimum of five years of experience in commercial, agricultural, or residential lending administration, employee training and supervision, project coordination, or program compliance. Equivalent work experience may be substituted for education on a year‑for‑year basis. You will bring familiarity with loan origination systems, servicing platforms, and collateral management tools, along with a strong understanding of program documentation requirements and regulatory parameters.
