Purpose The Compliance Generalist will promote safety throughout the organization, maintain overall compliance while assisting with training, reporting, and administrative tasks related to driver success. Essential Job Functions
Contribute to the development of effective training materials, processes, and programs.
Work with both HR and the Manager of Training in organizing continuing education for new and existing employees.
Coordinate training schedule with the hiring and training demands of the department.
Maintain all training records, rosters, and training data input.
Assist in auditing training files.
Assist employees with problems under guidance during training periods & “how to” perform specific tasks related to their positions.
Handle special training projects as they arise.
Assist with ensuring all driver qualification files are current and complete.
Assist with Independent Contractor insurance.
Assist in all permitting; company, driver, truck and trailer.
Communicate with new and current Independent Contractors to lease new units.
Audit Driver Qualification files to ensure they are accurate and in compliance with DOT regulations.
Assist with audits of Compliance programs and files.
Cross‑train with both Compliance and Recruiting.
Promote safety as a core value of the company.
Document/follow up on all complaint calls.
Administer violation reviews / MVR annually.
Monitor and report roadside inspections.
Assist with audits of Risk Management programs and files.
Cross‑train with leaders in all risk management sub‑departments to reduce redundancy in overall operations.
Additional Responsibilities Carries out duties assigned by the supervisor as required.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications for Consideration
High School Diploma.
Willingness to continue professional development.
High aptitude for using technology and receptiveness to change.
Ability to recognize problems and recommend viable solutions.
Demonstrate resourcefulness and ability to take initiative.
Effectively manage time and prioritize projects to meet deadlines.
Display professional demeanor at all times.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Customer Service experience preferred.
Capable of doing general math and analytical problems preferred.
Knowledge of OSHA and FMCSA regulations preferred.
Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Skilled at support and maintenance of Microsoft Office.
Excellent training and user interaction skills.
Experience with TMW, PAYCOM or VYOND encouraged.
Physical Requirements
Occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds).
Sitting for long periods, walking, finger dexterity, hearing, and visual activity.
Working Conditions
Normal office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copier/printer/scanners.
