Job Description
The DOT Compliance Administrator supports the DOT Compliance Manager in ensuring company-wide adherence to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. This role is responsible for maintaining driver and vehicle compliance records, coordinating training, and assisting with audits, inspections, and reporting requirements.
Responsibilities
Assist in managing driver qualification and certification processes, including monitoring CDL requirements, medical certifications, and hours of service compliance.
Support the DOT Compliance Manager in overseeing vehicle inspection and maintenance programs to meet DOT safety standards.
Collaborate with Fleet Management, Safety, and Operations teams to track and follow up on annual FMCSA vehicle inspections and driver compliance tasks.
Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date records of driver qualifications, vehicle inspections, and regulatory filings to ensure audit readiness.
Update employee files with current training documents and ensure compliance with ongoing training requirements.
Coordinate and schedule DOT compliance training for drivers, supervisors, and other relevant personnel.
Proactively reach out to employees to collect required credentials and documentation.
Stay informed on updates to DOT regulations and assist in implementing necessary policy or procedural changes.
Prepare and submit required DOT reports; assist with the resolution of any compliance violations in a timely manner.

Person Overview Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience
2+ years of experience in DOT compliance, fleet safety, or related administrative field preferred.
Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations strongly preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and/or compliance tracking software.
Ability to communicate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
Comfortable working independently and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Exposure: Comprehensive knowledge of FMCSA regulations and DOT compliance requirements.
Understanding of fleet operations and safety management systems.
Experience with compliance documentation and reporting systems.
Familiarity with driver qualifications and vehicle maintenance requirements Factors critical to success at ITG Communications for this position.
Understanding of transportation regulations with ability to translate complex requirements into practical programs.
Excellence in risk assessment, gap analysis and problem‑solving to identify compliance risks and develop solutions.
Effective communication skills to educate and influence across all levels of the organization.
Physical Requirements
Frequent/extended travel across multi‑state territory.
Visual and hearing acuity. Please note: This is a safety‑sensitive position. The employee has responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others.

Operating vehicles and equipment safely.
Maintaining valid certifications and licenses as required.
