We are seeking a
Lead Project Engineer – Americas
to join a high-performing Project Engineering team. In this role, you will influence major technical and financial outcomes while supporting the delivery of advanced, efficient power and energy solutions.
What You’ll Do
As a Lead Project Engineer, you will provide technical project management, technical direction, and coordination of engineering activities for assigned projects. You will act as the primary technical liaison between customers and internal Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) teams, ensuring all designs and equipment comply with contractual requirements and support continuous improvement in project execution.
You will collaborate closely with customers, EPC partners, project management, engineering organizations, Centers of Excellence (COEs), commercial operations, supply chain teams, and field personnel by:
Serving as the single point of contact for all customer technical inquiries, change requests, and communications related to project engineering scope
Driving lessons learned back into design engineering teams to prevent repeat issues
Providing technical guidance to Project Management and Applications/Regional Customer Applications Engineering
Leading Customer Kick-Off Meetings (CKOMs) and Design Liaison Meetings (DLMs)
Reviewing contract documentation and communicating project requirements across engineering functions
Evaluating financial and schedule impacts of scope changes through Cost & Cycle Estimates (CCEs) and supporting change order execution
Resolving cross-functional design and technical complexities
Proactively mitigating engineering schedule risks to avoid delivery delays
Managing the engineering budget and providing quarterly Estimates at Completion (EACs)
Supporting engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, suppliers, and installation teams to ensure equipment meets customer and business requirements
Presenting project risks, issue resolutions, and action plans to senior leadership
What You’ll Bring (Basic Qualifications)
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
OR
High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in Project Engineering, Design Engineering, and/or Field Engineering
Eligibility Requirements
Willingness to travel approximately 10%–15%
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Strong leadership and communication skills (verbal and written)
