Are you a relationship builder with a passion for connecting people and creating win‑win opportunities? As a Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in expanding community partnerships and developing employment opportunities for adults with disabilities. You’ll combine sales savvy, creative problem‑solving, and human‑centered advocacy to help individuals find fulfilling jobs—and help businesses discover exceptional employees. What You’ll Do
Build strong partnerships with local employers, civic groups, and community organizations to expand inclusive hiring opportunities. Conduct outreach and networking to identify new business relationships and placement sites. Collaborate with our team to match job seekers with meaningful employment based on their unique abilities, skills, and interests. Support individuals through every step of their employment journey—from discovery and training to long‑term success on the job. Provide on‑site coaching and employer education to ensure successful placements. Track progress, maintain accurate documentation, and meet performance goals for placements, satisfaction, and community impact. What You Bring
A passion for helping others succeed and a drive to make a difference. Proven experience in business development, sales, marketing, or employment services. Strong communication, organization, and networking skills. Comfort working with multiple stakeholders—including funders, families, and business leaders. Tech proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Set‑Works, SharePoint). Valid driver’s license (Class E within 30 days of hire). Preferred
Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities or in vocational rehabilitation. Knowledge of DMH and VR billing processes. Bachelor’s degree (experience may substitute for degree). Why Join Job One?
