Manager, Conference Technology & Program Operations
Basic Function of the Position:
Lead digital event operations for the CES conference program with an emphasis on systems ownership, platform mastery, and learning agility. Ensure seamless integration between digital and in‑person experiences, and serve as the primary subject‑matter expert for CES conference content platforms. Support strategic planning, content marketing, systems management, livestream production, revenue strategy, budgeting, and analytics for CES and other CTA events as assigned.
Critical Duties and Responsibilities:
Integrate digital and in‑person CES conference elements to create a unified experience for attendees and partners while achieving organizational goals.
Serve as the primary system owner for CES conference content management system.
Learn EventPoint quickly and deeply; maintain a high level of expertise to train staff, troubleshoot issues, and guide future enhancements or new integrations.
Collaborate with internal teams (registration, marketing, operations, customer service) to optimize the attendee experience across all platforms.
Manage operational livestream elements and digital event components, ensuring high‑quality production and engagement.
Support execution of the CES conference program marketing strategy, ensuring strong visibility for sessions and speakers. Partner with marketing to innovate promotional tactics and identify new ways to promote content and support revenue goals.
Compile, analyze, and track conference data to maintain historical records, evaluate performance, and inform business decisions.
Research and apply trends in event technology, design, sponsorship, and attendee engagement to enhance CES offerings.
Manage the digital conference budget and ensure financial accountability.
Serve as an account manager for CES Conference Partners, providing customer service support and speaker tracking in collaboration with the Conference Partner team as assigned.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation for conference processes.
Provide planning and onsite support for other CTA events, including budgeting, AV, vendor management, and logistics.
Travel to CES required. Travel to CTA events as needed.
Perform other duties as required by business needs.
Work Experience
5–7 years of experience in event operations, program development, digital events, attendee engagement, revenue generation, or event marketing.
Experience managing technical systems and digital event platforms; experience with EventPoint strongly preferred.
Experience with integrations, platform configuration, and adoption of new technologies.
Education / Training
Bachelor’s degree in Events, Marketing, Communications preferred or comparable work‑related experience.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suites required; familiarity with task management and registration platforms preferred.
Skills / Capabilities / Technical
Understanding of data modeling concepts and how systems integrate, with ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Comfortable partnering with engineering/data teams on technical implementation while maintaining system ownership.
Overseeing configuration, data modeling for cross‑system interoperability, integration requirements, permissions, workflows, and feature enablement.
Technical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn, master, and optimize event technology systems.
Ability to define requirements for system integrations and data flows; partner with technical teams for implementation.
Collaborative, goal‑oriented mindset with strong customer service and communication skills.
Highly organized and detail‑driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability, learning agility, and ability to juggle varied responsibilities in a fast‑paced environment.
Budget and Staff
Responsible for approximately $600,000 budget and supervision of one direct report.
