Recruitment Director - Direct Hire at PTS Advance We’re looking for someone to take the lead on electrical safety for large Data Center construction projects—someone who can keep people safe, keep the work moving, and build a culture where safety is something the team actually believes in, not just checks a box for.

In this role, you’ll be the go-to person for all things energy control, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and pre-energization. You’ll coordinate with owners, contractors, and vendors to make sure everyone understands the safety plan and follows it. You’ll help build a “can-do” safety environment tailored to each project’s unique challenges.

What You’ll Do Training & Qualification

Lead or review NFPA 70E and other required electrical safety training.

Train and supervise Deputy Energy Marshals, LOTO Managers, and LOTO Coordinators.

Confirm that anyone working on energized or de‑energized equipment is a properly qualified worker.

Planning & Oversight

Run pre‑energization meetings and make sure all steps and risks are identified before work begins.

Give final approval for all energization work.

Review and approve LOTO plans and make sure only approved plans are used.

Review and update single‑line drawings, and make sure workers understand the systems they’re working on.

Field Execution

Ensure all pre‑energization inspections (contractor, owner, manufacturer) are complete.

Confirm FOD (foreign object debris) inspections before energization and anytime equipment is re‑entered.

Monitor tamper seals, access controls, and safety barriers during energization and commissioning.

Verify proper switch, breaker, and grounding/earthing positions before energizing.

Attend and oversee all medium‑ and high‑voltage switching activities.

Governance & Compliance

Lead audits and inspections to ensure the Energy Control Plan (ECP) and LOTO Program are being followed.

Lead the ECP Task Force and serve as the subject matter expert for ECP compliance.

Manage MOPs (Methods of Procedure), including reviews, planning, and execution support.

Run MOP/ECP meetings and track progress.

Review and approve pre‑energization paperwork for MOPs and APs.

Support weekly project schedules with MOP work planning.

Lead root‑cause investigations when energy control issues occur.

What You Bring

A servant‑leader mindset: willing to lead from the front but also set firm expectations.

Ability to balance strict safety requirements with practical decision‑making.

Strong electrical background, ideally in fast‑paced data center construction.

Experience writing, reviewing, and executing MOPs for critical power systems.

Understanding of data center operations and redundancy.

NFPA 70E training (required).

OSHA 10/30 is a plus.

Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.

Licensed Electrician or Electrical Engineer strongly preferred.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Ability to read line drawings and design effective LOTO systems.

Prior experience in an Energy Marshal or energy management role for data centers.

Willingness to travel or relocate for project assignments (some projects last years).

Ability to work nights or weekends when project needs require it.
