Manufacturing Engineer | Zeeland, MI
Salary Range: $72,000 - $111,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We partner with manufacturers across Zeeland seeking Manufacturing Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and maintain manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
- Design, procure, and implement manufacturing tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues and non-conformances.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) by defining manufacturing requirements and processes.
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability of new products and design for manufacturing (DFM).
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience in process optimization, lean manufacturing principles, and Six Sigma methodologies
- Proficiency with CAD software for tooling, fixture design, and process layout
- Experience with automation, robotics, and PLC programming for manufacturing systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and statistical process control (SPC)
Bonus Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
- Experience with advanced automation, robotics, or additive manufacturing technologies
- Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) or data visualization tools
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
