Salary Range: $68,000 - $107,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Newaygo that are seeking Manufacturing Engineers. Key Responsibilities

  • Optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
  • Design, develop, and implement manufacturing tools, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by defining manufacturing processes and ensuring manufacturability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to processes, equipment, and materials.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and process specifications.
  • Identify and implement Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with design engineering to ensure product designs are optimized for manufacturing.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or related engineering discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, focusing on process improvement and optimization.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Strong CAD skills for tooling, fixture, and process layout design.
  • Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions for production issues.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
  • Experience implementing and optimizing automated manufacturing systems or robotics
  • Proficiency with manufacturing simulation software (e.g., Arena, FlexSim)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) processes in a manufacturing environment
