Candidates must meet U.S. person requirements (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or other protected individual). The position is expected to onboard at an American Rheinmetall location and transition into primarily being located in Warsaw, Poland, for an 18+ month assignment. Further position details will be provided during screening.

Job Summary

The Structures Engineer is responsible for supporting battle damage assessments of tracked combat vehicles. The Structures Engineer will be responsible for supporting the development of repair actions including potential performance impacts. The Structures Engineer will support post repair inspection and verification.

Essential Functions

Participate in vehicle battle damage assessments and support vehicle repair development plans

Assess and/or coordinate assessments of proposed repairs for performance adequacy.

Coordinate proposed repairs with supply chain and manufacturing personnel for implementation.

Participate in post repair inspections as required

Prepare documentation supporting initial assessments, proposed repair actions and post repair inspections.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Working understanding of vehicle structure design including material typical for combat vehicle applications

Understanding of vehicle chassis level structural analysis

Strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to work within CAD based design systems

Education

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering

Experience

5+ years of relevant experience working with vehicle chassis system design or closely related

Background Prerequisites

Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks and controlled substance testing.

Preferred Qualifications

Infantry combat vehicle design, maintenance or repair experience

Working Conditions And Physical Demands

Hands‑on, shop‑floor role requiring standing, lifting, and working in various industrial environments.

May involve shift work, overtime, or weekend coverage depending on production demands.

Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in all designated areas.
